The Evergreens was founded in 1919 by the Episcopal
Diocese of New Jersey. Today we are a non-denominational
community that caters to the religious and cultural
diversity of our residents. Nonetheless, our
mission of enhancing the quality of life for
those we serve is anchored in the ecumenical
tradition of our founders.
In the spirit of our Episcopal tradition, it
is The Evergreens’ mission to
enhance the individual, social, emotional,
spiritual, and physical well-being
of our diverse community.
Our 2009 perfect 5-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is just the most recent of many such distinctions The Evergreens has earned over many years. Along with our selection to Consumer Reports magazine’s “Consider List” year after year, this is the type of recognition we see as a natural side effect of the dedication, personal integrity, commitment to our residents and hard work of our staff.
